Blood cancer is a hidden disease with a wide range of symptoms often attributed to other conditions. We wanted to make it visible for Blood Cancer Awareness Month, so we created a public art installation with Paul Cocksedge.
104 names representing the 104 people who get diagnosed with blood cancer every day stood at the exact heights of the real patients the names belonged to. Each was accompanied by a story or information on signs and symptoms. It garnered huge footfall, as well as an article in The Lancet, a prestigious medical journal, and even reached Parliament.
